YHA caps off week with another tourism award

Following tourism awards in both Queensland and Victoria this week, YHA New South Wales has picked up another gong, which was announced last night.

2009 marks the 13th year YHA NSW has taken home an award with Sydney Central YHA winning in the best backpacker accommodation category, it’s second in a row.

In the regional category, Port Stephens YHA – Samurai Beach Bungalows was also awarded a gong.

“It’s fantastic to have both city and regional YHAs nominated for the state industry’s top accolade,” said YHA NSW marketing manager Janet McGarry.

“At YHA, we are not only about quality accommodation but ensuring a great travel experience by providing regular activities such as pub crawls, movie nights and BBQs that help to foster great memories and life-long friends,” she said.

Earlier this week YHA Brisbane won in the best accommodation category for the Tourism Queensland awards while Melbourne Metro YHA won in Victoria.
