Travellers not keen on getting naked

Dr Thumbo received an e-newsletter from Trip Advisor today. The top story was a survey of over 3,800 of its members, asking if they would ever bare all at a nude beach.

Travellers not keen on getting naked TripAdvisor 300x29739 per cent of respondents chose the option “No, there’s a reason swimsuits were invented” and 30 per cent said “I might check out the scenery, but I wouldn’t strip.”

Now correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t the purpose of a nudist beach to be nude? So why would you go to a nude beach for any other reason but to get naked? (Insert obvious joke about wanting to “see the sights”)

Is wearing clothes at a nude beach offensive to nudists in the same way not wearing clothes at a ‘normal’ beach would be to the swimsuit-clad public?

Have your say
