Sabre launches upgraded web and mobile platform

Sabre Pacific has released Virtually There Next Generation, the latest upgrade to its web and mobile platform, allowing agents and consumers to access travel information on the road.

The new version features a redesigned interface and enhanced functionality, enabling users to search and view maps, driving directions, tourist attractions and accommodation.

Sabre Pacific General Manager, Sales, Marketing and Product Richard Morgan said the upgraded product provides tech-savvy travel agents and consumers a more efficient way of managing their travel itineraries.

“With the amount of information available online, it’s often time-consuming and painful to find what you need,” he said.

“The information available through Virtually There Next Generation is dynamic, and pulled live from various sources into the one interface, so agents and travellers don’t need to visit multiple sites. The platform is compatible with and easily accessed by computers and mobile phones so it’s perfect for travellers on the go.”

The upgrade has new features such as ‘My Trips’, which permits travellers to bookmark current and future trips for future reference; ‘My profile’, where users can create their own log in, choose their language preference, flight notification options and interests; and ‘City Guides’, with comprehensive destination information, weather, maps, and real-time Flight Tracker.

Virtually There Next Generation can be accessed by agents and travellers at virtuallythere.com. Registration is free for all users although travellers with Sabre E-Tickets will experience greater functionality as they will have access to their full travel itinerary as well as the standard travel information.
