Who’s this industry legend trying to clean one of the early vehicles to ply the London to Sydney overland route back in the days before water restrictions?

Taken circa 1973/1974 when Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia were closed because of the Vietnam war, the company had to ship from India to Malaysia and then Singapore to Perth.

Fortunately, Iran and Afghanistan were open and it was safe to drive through Iraq and Syria – it took the US Government another couple of decades to change that.

  10. Six months of eating “crap” asian food, and the exercise involved keeping the female pax happy kept you slim! The last 37 years of the “good life” in aus has had an effect on the weight!
