Social media and online promotions are the marketing tools of choice for Tourism Australia, TA Manager Industry Development Dawn Howell told ATEC delegates last week.   The national tourism body is using blogging as a vehicle for promotions such as a recent MySpace and Bebo competition in the UK and Ireland offering the chance to win a month-long, paid working holiday in Australia. Entrants must be signed up to either of the social networking sites and blog on the Tourism Australia page about which job they would like and why.
